Club meeting - March

We are going to meet this weekend but prior to our normal club meeting we have arranged a visit to the Christchurch Toy Museum located at 36 Manchester Street from 3pm till 5pm there is a small charge but the owner has given us a small discount Seniors $8 Adults $10 and Kids $5. An eclectic collection of toys & collectibles designed to bring a smile of nostalgia whatever your age. We will follow our visit with a fish n chip meal at the club rooms for $ 5 per person ( I will need to know numbers by this Friday night, please contact Helen) so we can prepare the fish n chip shop of the potential numbers for our order. Also to confirm with the museum. Club meeting will start as usual at 7pm for those who do not wish to come but still want to attend the meeting. The club will be subsidizing the fish n chip meal supplying bread and butter and  soft drink it should be a nice wee finish to the outing. Item of the Night for collectables MUSIC RELATED. Item of the Night for Bottles INK Bottles. Raffle $2 per ticket. The committee have decided to close the club’s post office box in light of a recent price increase from the NZ POST and as there is not very much activity these days with correspondence coming via the box and the secretary’s home address with be the club’s contact address. We have done a further print of the soft cover book if you would like a copy please let Helen or Warren know or if you are out of town and would like one posted it is $70 plus $12.50 P&P . NOTICE OF A SPECIAL MEETING TO MAKE CHANGES TO OUR RULES PRIOR TO THE AGM. APRIL 30 AT 7PM RICCARTON COMMUNITY CENTRE. Following advice from the Inland Revenue we need to change our rules to continue our tax exemption status. Changes only apply to one rule, Rule 10 which needs the following added to it: “No addition to, deletion from or alteration of the organisation’s rules shall be made which would allow personal pecuniary profits to any individuals. The provisions and effect of this clause shall not be removed from this document and shall be included and implied to any document replacing this document”. NATIONAL SHOW 2023 SEPTEMBER. Schedules and Entry Forms are now available n the National Show Page of this website. We will have schedules at the meeting and we are taking bookings for sales booths and table top sales for the event, September is not far away and we will have a good support from International collectors who have already booked to attend, so block out the dates for this great weekend and remember there will be a lovely meal at Embers Restaurant at the Papanui Club followed by the prize giving. Kiwi Auctions will have the traditional Bottle & Collectables Auction at the Russley Golf Course to start the weekends events. Items are being accepted for this contact Warren
