Club meeting - January

Club meeting, Sunday the 29th January. Looking forward to seeing all those collectors that didn’t make it to the shows in early January at this Sunday night’s meeting from 6.30pm on, accompanied with your holiday finds whether they be bottle or collectable we look forward to hearing all about them and what information you have on the item along with what attracted you to it. BOTTLE OF THE MONTH Jan; Holiday finds: Feb; 1st and last (1st edition / last edition or 1st find / last find). COLLECTABLE OF THE MONTH Jan; Holiday finds: Feb 1st and last. We will have a discussion on Sunday night as to what collectors would like for the following months so we can have an interesting yet informative nights display on the top tables. We are still on the hunt for an editor as Hugh retired last year the big shoes haven’t been filled if you would like to give it a go please let a committee member know it’s a fun job but does require you to be committed to fielding the articles supplied by club members, which isn’t usually difficult as they all enjoy having their say and will supply you with a good array of informative and interesting snippets. Since the passing of Laurie we have had no-one keeping us in the know of what we missed and the prices on Trademe especially and any other auction site this could be an interesting side line if you are a troller of Trademe why not jot down the interesting sales and the prices a wee pic and brief description ( can be taken from the TM site), again let a committee member know if your keen to take on this wee venture. Don’t forget we have a raffle each night the prizes are very good and well worth the $2 per ticket this month it will be a fruit and vege hamper please support this as the funds go to support our club. Don’t forget there is a $3 door charge, and we will have a cuppa and a natter at the meeting so please welcome visitors and new members and introduce them to fellow members let’s make this year one of social functions and a great National event the next eight months will go quickly.
