Club Meeting & Mid Year Dinner - July

EARLY START. THE HALL IS OPEN AT 6PM AND DINING WILL BE BETWEEN 6.15 -6.30PM. PLEASE BRING CORRECT MONEY $29 PER PERSON AND PAY AT THE DOOR. THANKS IN ADVANCE. This is likely to be our last meal service from John & Kate at Indulge Catering as they are both venturing into new business opportunities in the coming months, and I would like to take this opportunity to wish them well as we will do on the night with a small presentation. There will be no sales tables available for this month meeting due to the large numbers for the meal apologies for the inconvenience traders. The Item of the night is Miniature bottles and Tobacco related collectables
 
Preparation for the National Bottle & Collectables Show September. Warren, the Convenor of the show, will talk us through how preparations are going for our Clubs hosting of the show and the Friday night Auction which has some stunning items up for sale, there will be schedules at club night so have a think of what you’d like to exhibit and if you require any sales area. Alan Francis. A long standing club member passed away after a short illness FRANCIS, Allan Robert: On July 15, 2021, peacefully at Parklands Hospital, aged 84 years. Dearly loved husband of the late Betty, loved father and father-in-law of Graham and Ann, and Robert, treasured granddad of Kaitlin and Paddy, and great-granddad of Micah, much loved by all the members of the Foote family. Special thanks to the staff at Parklands Hospital for taking care of Allan in the last months of his life. Messages may be addressed to The Family of the late Allan Francis, c/- PO Box 39001, Christchurch 8545. Flowers respectfully declined. The club has sent a card but any club member who would like to attend the service. The Memorial Service for Allan will be held in our Westpark Chapel, 467 Wairakei Road, Burnside, on August 7, at 2.00pm.

There will not be another local show this year at the Woolston Club due to the only venue date is the same weekend as the Swap meet so the committee have decided to pre book for 2022.
