LA ZILIA CAST IRON CIGAR CUTTER BOTTLE OPENER

From Illinois, USA, cigar cutter bottle opener. Does anyone know anything about the La Zilia brand, is it a Cuban cigar, when might it have been produced?

Nothing specific on the LaZilia brand but the following may be a general guide to its dating

The following is an extract from an article on Cigar Advertising bottle openers

There were several cigar manufactures in Detroit starting in the 19th century
but the Detroit tobacco industry began to die out towards the middle of the 20th century
and by 1955 only three cigar manufactures remained

All profiles share three features apart from the bottle opener end.
A blade for slitting open the box label and lid
A notch for clawing up the pins that secure the lid
A hammer for re-fixing the pines

Many thanks for your feedback crowncork and for explaining what the non bottle opener end is really for (not cutting cigars), clearly "Cigar Box Opener, Bottle Opener" would be a better description. There is a good account of the broad range of Cigar Box Openers here. And some other examples below.
