September is coming to an end which means its time for the club to meet on this Sunday Night. As we have moved into Covid Level 1 we are able to meet with less restrictions but we should still be mindful of the best practice with the use of hand sanitizer on entry to the facility and if you are unwell or suffering any flu like symptoms please stay home. ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING FOR 2020 The meeting will start promptly at 7pm as this is our Annual General meeting please ensure that you are seated from your sales area if you have one. We look forward to Craig’s President Report and moving into the AGM with the election of officers. I would like to thank the committee members for their time and guiding the club through the last somewhat difficult months and supporting the presidents chair and I am sure you are all aware of the commitment of time and energy to support any committee and club.
ONE DAY SHOW AT THE WOOLSTON CLUB on OCT 31st - we are encouraging members to support this event by putting up a non competitive display to entertain the public and support the Table top sales as many events have recently been canceled due to the uncertainty around Covid we are anticipating a great turnout with many collectors traveling to the event from as far away as Auckland, Nelson, and Dunedin so please get your entry in early – Sales space may be restricted depending on demand. MAGAZINE FOR SEPTEMBER Hugh our amazing Editor has managed another magazine for this month thanks to all of you that have supported him in his venture the magazine is really about collectors for collectors, so we really appreciate your contributions and sharing your stories. I know many younger collectors enjoy sharing finds and latest purchases on Facebook and other Social Media platforms if you would also like these to be put into the magazine please don’t hesitate to contact Hugh, remember the mag goes the length and breadth of the country as well as all around the world so even though it might not seem it distribution is pretty good and some collectors don’t engage in the social media platform yet, but may have information or the example you are looking for. Collectors traveling from the North across the WAIMAKARIRI BRIDGE please check before you travel on Sunday as there lane reductions, lane closures and traffic diversions, movements will be slow, please expect delays at night from about 10pm till 5am on gantry install nights. When traffic is reduced to one lane, there will be a 60km/h speed limit in place.
