I have seen a photo of the W. J. Moffett cordial manufactory building in Invercargill, with "Established 1868" at the top. But, according to the Southland Times, (issue 1162, 21 May 1869, page 4), W. J. Moffett took over the aerated water and cordial manufacturing business from Louis Hume on May 11th 1869. Either way, it seems that he started 1868-1869. But, my question is, does anyone know exactly when Moffett Cordials stopped production? I have seen another photo showing Moffett Cordials on a sign over a float in the 1929 May Fair, but I don’t know of anything more recent.

Moffett Cordials
I have a clear glass crown top bottle with shoulder embossing "A B MOFFETT INVERCARGILL" which dates around 1940s or 1950s so that could possibly explain the Moffett Cordials sign?
